Interview With Bruno (PPC and Freelancer)

1) Where were you born and raised? Also tell us something unique about yourself.

I hail from A Coru?a, Spain, where I pursued a double bachelor's degree in Law and BBA, however my passion for exploration extends far beyond its borders since graduating in 2020. What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to consistency.

From maintaining a thrice-weekly gym routine since age 15 to nurturing my creativity through daily gaming (2h daily) and avid travel (once a month), I thrive on diverse experiences. Driven by my background, I am also a Web3 freak, fascinated by its potential for innovation and eager to contribute to its evolution.

2) What got you interested in marketing and what was your journey?

At 17, I delved into programming, creating successful Android apps with over 2 million downloads on Google Play. It was the monetization aspect through Adsense that intrigued me the most, sparking my interest in marketing.

After completing my studies, I ventured into marketing for NGOs during the pandemic and later joined a Google outsourcing company, Majorel, where I honed my skills.

Now, I'm part of a dynamic marketing agency, working with fashion multinationals. My happiest moments are now spent in the Philippines, fully immersed in this exciting journey.

3) What skills and industry do you specialize in?

SEM and social media. with a focus on Google Ads. My expertise stems from delving deep into internal Google documentation while working there, gaining insightson how to tweak the algorithm.

Ecommerce and Web3 are my preferred domains, complemented by some experience in SaaS.

4) What is your best soft skill?

Consistency: "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times".

I'm always ahead of the curve in my field. If there's something new cooking in my industry, you can bet I'm already diving in headfirst.

Jumping too quickly from one job to another. In marketing, it's crucial to allow sufficient time for projects and accounts to settle. This typically takes at least a year to accurately identify seasonalities, trends, and truly understand the product or client.

Not shy away from getting your hands dirty. If possible, consider taking a customer service job related to a technical marketing product like Google Ads, Meta, or LinkedIn. This experience teaches you how to address people's concerns and issues, building trust and calm through your communication.

Remember, the salary during the first year is just a number. The knowledge gained from working at the bottom is unmatched.

13) If the entire world was listening to you, what would you have to say?

Embrace out-of-the-box thinking and find a field where this mindset is valued. However, don't forget to periodically revisit and stick to the fundamentals.

Success lies in striking a balance between innovation and foundational principles.
