I always emphasize my team to define the ultimate goal and purpose or any UT upfront. All artefacts should be created keeping the goal of the UT in mind. With regards to any concern, having a review with the team to go over various artefacts with an objective view is the key to resolving issues.

This doesn't mean that you may have some unexpected findings along the way and give them importance. But if comes up to decide between prioritizing some findings, review the objectives so you can choose the most relevant findings according to them. Everything in a UX process should have a clear "why".

This is where you consolidate the data from your analytics tools with the usability test results. Remember the method of usability test employed to achieve certain results influences the kind of results you will be exposed to analyze and the approach to solve issues found out from the usability test. Always strive for results feeding into one another, this will give no room for personal bias and assumptions across the team. For instance if the analytics tools answers “how” users are navigating the platform and a usability test like “interview” answers “why” users are navigating the platform that way. Consolidating those two data will inform “how” you can solve some of the issues you find out.

If there’s is room explore the possibility of inclusion if the findings are not directly in conflict. While we believe in this, we also observed that. Ultimately data is a key tie breaker, ago for facts, alignment to mental models that provokes the individuals to break down thier thoughts to gain alignment. Have them play the devil’s advocate and defend the other perspective so they begin to entertain the thought as well. Another issue here could be the lost cause, when everyone holds the user at the center of the analysis the results almost always align. If that’s the case then I would try empathy walk and try to have them use that to gain alignment.
