Intersolar 2024: GoodWe Reveals Details about New Commercial ESS and Cost-Effective Residential Storage, Captivates Utility Sector

GoodWe, a leading provider of solar inverters and energy storage solutions, concluded a successful showcase at Intersolar 2024 in Munich, Germany, from June 19 to 21. With energy storage continuing to be the focus of audience’s interest, GoodWe’s new versatile energy storage solutions for both the commercial and industrial (C&I) and the residential sector earned significant attention. The section displaying GoodWe’s expanded utility solutions for ground-mounted projects also became a hit during the exhibition.

Enhanced Home Solution with Award-Winning Cost-Effective Storage

A global leader in hybrid inverter technology, GoodWe noted high interest for its next-generation residential hybrid inverter in the power range 6 – 15 kW. Combined with GoodWe’s stackable HV battery Lynx D, GoodWe is poised to offer a powerful and cost-effective storage solution for homeowners. The design flexibility of this solar-plus-storage solution has convinced the jury of the Red Dot Design Award, earning it a position on this year’s winner list.

Aligning with the increasing trend towards smart homes, GoodWe's open protocol approach enables the creation of Home Energy Management Systems?(HEMS) solutions with third-party providers.

Tailored and Flexible ESS Offerings for Businesses

As businesses seek to enhance their energy resilience, reduce costs and establish new revenue streams, versatile C&I energy storage solutions are increasingly in demand. At Intersolar, GoodWe highlighted its EcoSmart Commercial selection of state-of-the-art PV and hybrid inverters, complemented by scalable and reliable storage systems. The new outdoor energy storage cabinets with temperature management and fire-suppression features come in 60kWh and 100kWh versions and can be readily expanded to MWh capacities.

Further expanding the range of the popular GoodWe ET hybrid inverter series, the versatile ET 50kW inverter is set to launch later this year. Showcased at the exhibition, the inverter received overwhelming attention from visitors due to its customizable backup, smart operations and seamless parallelling options.

Expanded Utility Portfolio Gained High Interest

Visitors showed high interest in GoodWe’s dedicated utility area that demonstrates the company’s continuous efforts to reduce LCOE and maximize value for large-scale projects. The showcase spanned high-power inverters, communication devices, Medium-Voltage Station (MVS) solutions up to 9.15MVA as well as the preview of a 200kW PCS for utility-scale ESS projects. GoodWe is demonstrating solid growth in the utility segment, with the most recent solar park (103,5 MW) grand opening ceremony taking place beginning of June in the Netherlands.

Showcase of BIPV innovations

GoodWe displayed its innovative Building-Integrated PV (BIPV) solar panels, including Galaxy and Polaris series, which complement its EcoSmart Home and EcoSmart Commercial lineup. These products are suitable for applications such as balconies, carports, and rooftops, seamlessly integrating solar technology into buildings while maintaining aesthetic appeal and reducing electricity costs.
