In creating solutions, breaking through to provide necessities in people's lives I am reminded of Maslow's hierarchy of human needs. He surmised that one cannot achieve the higher level needs until the most basic human survival needs are met, and these include food and water, sufficient rest, clothing and shelter, overall health, and reproduction. Secondly, safety needs must be met and these include protection from violence and theft, emotional stability and well-being, health security, and financial security. His findings, whether you agree with him or not, said that in meeting those basic human needs you could then address love and belonging needs, esteem needs and self-actualization needs - but survival and safety needs must be solved first.

Our determination to solve a global need for the cross-border citizen is powered by the requirement for a solution set that is meeting needs in a dynamically different and effective method. When we set out to change the design, delivery and service within the global benefits space we faced the challenge head on with equipping those we are passionate about with protection that goes beyond the health/medical to include wellbeing, financial security, rest and safety from a multi-faceted approach.
