Internship can be viewed as a career related experience that is being integrated into your undergraduate education. Actually, an internship can provide a glimpse to explore the professional world and aid to concentrate about your future career decision. It provides an opportunity to identify your true abilities, talents and skills as well. Nowadays internships have a diversity in compensation, working hours, styles, sizes etc. Hence, it is better if you could at least have one internship in your CV when you graduate.

A good internship match should have following characteristics as I have noticed.

1.??????It should match with what you really want in life. If you have multiple desires that pulls you to many directions, then your internship should address your main interests. Otherwise, you will be bored.

2.??????The location should be convenient for travelling, saving additional costs and making less alterations to your existing lifestyle.

3.??????Applying for internships takes time. So, my advice is to plan ahead. You have the right to tap the doors of many potential organizations, companies, institutes or factories. Even you can go through referrals of known connections.

4.??????There are no perfect fits in an organization but you can try to be a good fit. By the end of the day both you and relevant company should like each other to get on with for an agreed period of time in the internship.

I think internships are very important for future networking as they help us to do the sampling of different working environments. You can promote your independence as well as self confidence in the working domain if you want build up your personality. Apart from that, you can get an additional income from a paid internship.
