Paul Ngoun Gai (aka Nguon Gai )is a dedicated Undergraduate Senior with a strong passion for youth empowerment and community development. With over a year of experience in youth-related work, Ngoun currently interns at Tedi Africa, where he has the opportunity to engage with impactful projects that leverages social innovation using the triple nexus of Technology, Entrepreneurship and Education (TEE) to solve social challenges.
While with us, he finalises a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, with a Major in Logistics and a Minor in Economics, from Daystar University, located along the Valley Road in Kenya's bustling city of Nairobi. He holds a Diploma in Business Administration in the same institution, an education that has equipped him with a solid foundation in business principles and practices. These knowledge and skill sets have enabled him? to conduct his tasks diligently and professionally while at Tedi Africa.

Social Impact at Scale: Paul’s Internship Reflections in his own words
Reflecting on my journey with Tedi Africa so far, I am privileged to work alongside incredibly driven team of young, passionate professionals from whom I learn and relearn. Since joining the team about a month ago,? I have been involved in various tasks, such as reviewing applications for the undergraduate mentorship program, conducting basic Google research into the Initiative’s innovative approaches, attending external events such as the recently concluded Refugee Summit in Nairobi, among others. These roles have allowed me to hone my skills in data management, effective communication, and networking, all of which are essential for driving positive change in our communities.
My experience at Tedi Africa has been incredibly rewarding, as it has provided me with the platform to foster optimism about Africa’s future and contribute to meaningful initiatives. I am especially grateful for the enriching and enlightening experiences that have shaped my understanding of the power of education and mentorship in driving societal change.
My involvement with Tedi Africa has reinforced the importance of collaboration and innovation in addressing community challenges that leverages social innovation.. It has also deepened my appreciation for the role that young people can play in transforming societies. Through this internship, I have witnessed firsthand the impact of empowering youth from difficult settings with the skills and knowledge necessary to create sustainable solutions. I am excited to continue contributing to Tedi Africa’s initiatives and look forward to further developing my skills and knowledge to make a lasting impact.
