At Jigsaw Medical, teamwork isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a crucial piece to the puzzle. In our 2024 Internship Program, Dillon Mastropolo 's Team of sales interns, Drew Noecker , Ella Sherman , and Morgan Bond , proved just how powerful collaboration can be, earning the honorable “Dream Team” Award for their exceptional performance and fostering a competitive edge that pushed the boundaries.

Jigsaw Medical provides a unique internship structure, encouraging friendly competition among teams, and pushing each group to not only collaborate but also to compete with their peers. For Dillon’s team, this dynamic fueled their drive.

Every Piece Counts

Winning the Dream Team Award was more than just a recognition of their accomplishments—it was a reflection of the lessons they learned along the way. Each member of the team walked away with a deeper understanding of what makes a group thrive.

“For me, it’s all about trust and accountability,” Morgan said. “We all came from an athletic background, so we understood that when you trust your teammates and know they’ll follow through, it makes everything else easier.”

Ella emphasized the importance of listening and adaptability. “We were all different, but that’s what made us strong. We listened to each other’s ideas and weren’t afraid to pivot when needed.”

Drew highlighted the power of shared goals. “We all wanted to succeed, not just as individuals, but as a team. That shared drive is what made us the Dream Team.”

Drew, Ella, and Morgan found themselves aligned by a common goal: To make the most of their internship while delivering measurable results. “I’m still shocked that the team assignments were random,” Drew shared. “We just clicked—it felt natural from day one.”

Their diverse strengths and unique approaches became their greatest asset. Though their personalities and educational backgrounds differ, it didn’t take long for these three individuals to click instantly. Their energy, adaptability, and shared determination not only made them stand out but surpass expectations at Jigsaw.

“We didn’t just want to meet expectations. We wanted to exceed them,” Morgan explained. “But we quickly realized that our real competition wasn’t the other teams—it was ourselves. We were constantly looking for ways to improve and support one another.”

What Made Them a Dream Team

Their ability to work seamlessly together and encourage each other is what truly set them apart. “We never felt like individuals just doing our own thing,” Ella said. “Every step forward was something we did together. What made this experience even more valuable was the lighthearted and open environment we created as a team, which made the learning process more enjoyable."

Dillon, their sales manager, was quick to notice the group’s exceptional chemistry. "The bond that Drew, Ella, and Morgan created early in the internship lead to great collaboration, friendly competition, and professionalism from the group. It was a pleasure to work with them and lead them this past summer. This was the most memorable internship group I have been a part of. I know these three will keep in touch for long time as they graduate college and begin their careers."
