Internet.org & Net Neutrality
We have been trying to free the internet from big companies and I just came across internet.org
I have been using a different ISP and when I tried to access internet.org, the page mentioned that I should buy a "Reliance SIM' card in order to access this site. So, I am just wondering, why the site is not available on different platform, across all the ISPs? Its true that facebook is collaborating with the particular company, but it still does not make sense! If their intentions are noble, they should also collaborate with other ISPs. I am now suspecting their motive behind this site. As the debate gets intense, there will be more websites/start ups pulling out ot internet.org initiative.
Those ISPs, most of them are mobile service providers in India, try to cover the internet market as much as possible. In this cut-throat competition, they even go beyond ethical practices and force you to purchase from them in anyway.
Let's hope TRI intervenes in time and settle all the issues.
