Internet of Things: Io

IoT from my understanding or experience is like connecting physical hardware to the internet for accessing it from anywhere. The level or we can say space or layer between physical hardware & internet is known as the IoT platform or middle layer.

As a hardware designer or PCB design Engineer, we create a device which is having different types of sensors, video inputs, manual inputs (,i.e keys), that need to be processed before connecting to the internet. So, for that, we require a controller or a processor for it. But the work is not done yet, we need a gateway device to convert that processed output so that we can transmit that data to the cloud. Than end-user can see those data on their applications which in turn connected to the cloud.

LoRaWAN can be used for long distances but we need a main gateway for it to send collected data onto the cloud
