Internet Speed during COVID

Internet Speed during COVID

Internet speed has come down drastically during these days for almost every telecom. As per reports, average download speed of #BSNL is 2.9 mbps. (#3G world average speed is 4.4 mbps), I am getting 500 kbps, sometimes less than that. BSNL says that is the maximum they can offer since the users has increased due to covid and they have limitation to upgrade. Every company is the same, when there is more people, speed get reduced. BSNL official says, 20 mbps is the limit in every 3G tower, if there are 20 users simultaneously you get only 1 mbps speed. I am not sure.

I often see construction workers and other daily labors (many are doing the same) play music/videos continuously on their mobile using YouTube. They are not bothered about the charges as they get cheap data.

Why don’t these telecoms start a premium pre-paid service?

In that users get high speed internet

The connection is locked to a particular tower; you can access high speed net from that tower only. (People may ask why don't you go for broadband, high speed broadband is not available in many places. )

Number of connections should be limited to the capacity of that particular tower.

There should be a minimum download speed say 3 mbps, at any time the speed goes down, the premium is not counted. It can be like 25 gb pack or 50 gb pack or something like that or entire pack.

When I pay Rs 97, I get 18 days validity, 2GB daily data and 250 minutes of daily calling. I won’t mind paying 300 or more if I get a minimum 3 mpbs speed.
