Search engine optimization is the act of informing the search engines that your website is compliant with Webmaster guidelines for what is needed and wanted to get found in search results with major sites like Google and it's the act of showing these engines that you are targeting keywords and phrases that your target market is searching with by showcasing "optimized" content throughout your internal web pages.

SEO for short is comprised of 3 factors that Google needs to see in order for your website or any website for that matter, to achieve page one placements and stay there:

Factor 1: Relevancy

• Relevancy is determined by your on-site content matching real keywords and phrases that are used by your target audience to find people like you online and it's also about your metatags. If you have relevant titles and descriptions in use then you're utilizing items you can use with 'on-site' search engine optimization.

• Popularity is determined by "who" links to you. IF Harvard links to you from any of their online forums, no matter how long the URL, Google sees the root domain harvard.edu and credits your site with a very powerful backlinks or "vote" in your favor. Get incoming links to all your pages and your whole site will be seen as the most popular answer to bring up in search results.

Factor 3: Authenticity

Internet Secret #1 - Testimonials as Articles on Popular Directories

• Most people know that they should have testimonials on their website. It helps presell your visitors and provide reassurance in the buying decision. But did you know, that you can get great backlinks or votes of popularity to your website by taking one of your testimonials and turning it into an article on a popular directory like EzineArticles.com? Simply go there and post and in the title put something like: "Amazing SEO Service Got Me Page One In 90-Days Or Less" by Client's Name or something along the lines of a cool title that you can pull from a line in a testimonial. Then write a blurb about the client and the work that was performed and then post the review. Publish and index the URL by submitting to IndexKings.com. That's it. Turn each testimonial into an article from a trusted article directory website and you will increase your domain authority and popularity.

Internet Secret #2 - Blog Comments on Popular Blogs

• If you go online to websites like this one: https://www.magnet4blogging.net/best-business-blogs-2017/ - you can find the hottest blogs on various topics. You can also go to Buzzsumo.com and put in your business niche and hit Enter. Find the blogs that have the most buzz in your niche and comment on a relevant post and make sure you include a link back to your website in the comment. Comments are low quality by nature but a comment with a link back to your site from a popular blog, is helpful in boosting your domain authority and page rank online.

Internet Secret #3 - Reviews From Popular Bloggers

• This one is really cool. You simply go to Google and put in a phrase that describes your business and add this to the search +blog so an example would be: internet marketing +blog and that will return a list of blogs. Email the owners of those blogs with this template, you need to fill in the bracket areas:

Hey [Site Owner Name],

I was searching for [Put Your keyword here] today when I came across [Website].

Awesome stuff!

Actually, I just launched a [product, service, guide or free white paper] that [Teaches People How To Do This Cool thing]. I usually charge [$X], but I’d be more than happy to send it over to you on the house. All I’d ask is that you’d consider mentioning it on your blog or writing a review.

Let me know how that sounds.

Most bloggers will say NO or won't respond but those who do will give you a good review and will be happy to post relevant content to their audiences and those kinds of links can go viral sometimes and really blow up your online buzz and popularity.

Internet Secret #4 - Link Reclamation

• This is one of my favorite things to do for Clients. All you do is simply go to Google and put in your name, your business name or any other branding names and you find wherever someone on the web has mentioned you but hasn't linked back to your site. For example, if I went to Google and found my company name, iRankFast mentioned on Twitter by someone, I would log into Twitter and DM the person and say, "Hey thanks for the social mention of my name, can you please add a link back to my website? Here's the best one to use." Then you give them the link you want them to add and you wait. Usually they will make the edit and that link from Twitter will boost your overall popularity online and help you be found first.

Internet Secret #5 - Use 'Scholarships' To Build EDU Backlinks

• This is a cool and interesting way to get educational backlinks. As you know, .GOV and .EDU backlinks are the most popular votes you can get. It's nearly impossible to get quality .Gov and .Edu links anymore so you really have to think outside of the box. But this method, is super easy to initiate, you simply build a scholarship page on your website where you are going to offer a scholarship to one student who wants to intern with your company and learn the ropes and start a new career or you offer other types of scholarships in exchange for service of some kind. Then you go online to Google and type this into the search bar: inurl:.edu "scholarships"

Then you reach out to the admins or webmaster's of the websites that you feel match who you'd like to receive a link from and you say this on email, again you will need to change the brackets data:

Hello [Name],

I’m excited to let you know about a new scholarship opportunity for [School] students.

Our scholarship is called “[Name]“, and it’s designed to help [Brief Description].

Here is a brief list of our requirements:

[List Of Requirements]

We would be honored if you’d be kind enough to add our award to your scholarship page [Scholarship Page URL].

Of course, we’re here to answer any questions you may have.

[Your Name]

****You only need a handful of these types of links and you will fly to the top of all search engines and these votes are the ones that keep you on page one ALL year.

Internet Secret #6 - Utilize Blog Aggregators For Easy Links

• This is another unique method for building links to your website. Again, a little out of the box but once you get how it's done, it's super easy to do over and over again. All you do is go to a website like AllTop.com and submit your blog or backlink to them, then you take a small HTML code and paste it on your website so that it alerts Blog Aggregators that you're ready for a "review" and they then go and crawl your blog and create a page for you on the aggregate, and then place your blog into categories they feel are most relevant and before you know it you've got a few powerful backlinks that were all done for you by people who do this for a living.

***When the aggregators approve your blog, you’ll have your own page on the aggregator with a dofollow link to your site. Boom, headshot!

Internet Secret #7 - Look For Guest Posting Opportunities On Twitter

This is another interesting and proven way to get votes of popularity to your website. You simply go to Twitter. In the Twitter Search bar you type any of these search strings:

“your niche” + guest post

“your niche” + guest author

“your niche” + write for us

“your niche” + guest article

Then you find any posts made by people offering writing and posting opportunities and you send them a DM (direct message) and tell them you'd like to write for them. By posting on their blog you get to link back to yourself and that boosts popularity. If you can find a way to post on super popular sites, the more popular you will be to Google.

One way to find out if a website is popular is to check Google's previously given "page rank" for the domain. So let's say you find an opportunity on Twitter, you then take the person's website to the .com only and go to PRChecker.info and put in the domain and the captcha code. If the PR is above 2 then it's a good blog to write and get a link from.

Internet Secret #8 - The 'Darling Content' Of The Web

• The Darling Content of the web is "Infographics". Images that have words and explanations for things but it's only an image. Imagine an entire web page with one long image that spans the whole screen across and vertical for a couple scroll lengths. All you do is make sure the infographic is clear in it's message and display then make sure the ALT tag is optimized with your chosen keyword phrase and make sure you have an H1 at the top of the page with your keyword in it and of course an H2 or H3 at the bottom of the page after the image with a call to action and your keyword phrase in it and BAM you now have an infographic page that Google considers their "darling" content and usually will give it top placements just because you went out of your way to explain or present something with images.

The next best thing to do with your Infographic is to submit it to Infographic sharing sites like Visua.ly and others. Once you submit the graphic you post a link to your site and then others can see it and share it and like it. Every time they re-share your infographic, that's another trusted vote of popularity in your direction. Boom!

Internet Secret #9 - Building Backlinks To Your Backlinks

• Very often I talk to link builders who tell me they are having a hard time getting Google and other engines to increase their organic rankings and I ask them, "Are you building links to your links?" Their answer is always, "No...?" Like they are saying no and asking a question at the same time. LOL All you have to do when you get a popular link to your site is go and build another backlink or a handful and have all of those point to the first backlink which points to your website or blog. By doing that you are reinforcing your links and showing Google that you're so popular that you have people upvoting the links to an original link. It shows "layers" and that's what Google wants to see in order for you to rank high up on the page.

Internet Secret #10 - Patronize Your Google Plus Profile

• Believe it or not, Google is not the Internet. They own a huge piece of it, mind you, but first and foremost they are a business. If you patronize their platforms and products you get a little 'extra credit' or favoritism. It's kind of like if a Client hires me for standard optimization and then upgrades to a YouTube service and then a few months go by and that Client requests SEO on a new video, we will just do it for you at no cost because you patronized us a few months back on this service.

So, make sure you have a verified Google Maps listing, focus on getting five star reviews that use your preferred keywords in the reviews and also focus on adding followers, getting plus ones on your posts etc. Really get involved in posting on G+ and in time you will naturally find yourself higher in search because you're patronizing them on a product that is inferior to Facebook but by showing support you also get support.

Internet Secret #11 - Yahoo Answers And Quora Links

• Last but not least, the Internet is filled with people looking for answers to problems. Oftentimes business owners and consumers have product and service questions about things you know about and they are seeking someone they can trust, when you answer questions related to topics in your industry and post a link to your website on every answer, you are A) helping someone solve a problem and B) getting a vote of popularity to your site from a HIGH authority site. Yahoo Answers and Quora are just two of many sites where you can answer industry-related questions and be seen as an authority and pick up GREAT backlinks to your site.

So there you have it. I dare you, no, I challenge you to go out and try one or more of these methods and tell me if you don't experience a boost in placements online as a result. Make it a daily, weekly and monthly routine to build amazing links to your site and you will be #1 in no time and that's when you know you're successful because you will be found first for your keywords and you'll obtain new traffic and conversions as a result and it will build and build up over time until you have a fully automated machine.
