Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. The word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness. The word "yoga," which means "to join or to unite," represents the fusion of the physical body and the mental consciousness.

The theme of International Yoga Day 2024 is “Yoga for Women Empowerment,” focusing on enhancing the physical and mental well-being of women. To celebrate, various events and sessions will be organized globally to promote the practice of yoga.

On Behalf of "International Yoga Day", SNS College of Allied Health Sciences conducted a Yoga session with Collaboration of Isha Yoga Center on 14th June 2024. Our Faculties and Hundreds of Students were Participated in this session.

The Volunteer from Isha Yoga Center Mr.Sudar Rajarathinam explained how to do Yoga Namaskar and Nadi Shuddhi Pranayama and the importance of Physical and mental well-being of women.
