International Women's Day

As a CEO in the construction industry and an Iranian/Australian woman, International Women's Day holds a special place in my heart. This day is not just about celebrating women's achievements but also about recognising the challenges that still exist for women around the world.

As we celebrate International Women's Day, it is important that we recognise the struggles that women face every day. We must stand together in solidarity with our fellow sisters who are fighting for their rights and freedoms. Let us stand with Iranian women in their fight for “Women, Life, Freedom”, with Ukrainian women who are fighting against violence, while also continuing our own efforts towards creating a more equitable world for all.

In many industries, including construction, women are still underrepresented. However, I am proud to say that at Planix Projects we have made great strides in promoting gender equality and empowering women in our field.

We believe that diversity drives innovation and creativity. Our team is made up of talented individuals from diverse backgrounds who bring unique perspectives to every project we undertake. We are committed to creating a workplace culture that values diversity, inclusivity, and equality.

As a woman working in a male-dominated industry, I understand first-hand the challenges that women face in pursuing their dreams and aspirations. However, I firmly believe that with hard work, determination, and support from others, anything is possible.

To all the women out there who are breaking barriers and shattering glass ceilings: keep going! Your contribution to your industry and your community is invaluable. You are paving the way for future generations of young girls who will look up to you as role models.

On this International Women's Day, let us celebrate the achievements of women around the world while also acknowledging the work that still needs to be done. Let us continue to push for gender equality in all aspects of life and work towards creating a more just and equitable world for all.

As Maya Angelou once said: "I am a woman phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, that's me." Let us embrace our phenomenal selves and continue to inspire change in our communities and beyond.
