International Women's Day 2023
“Come as you are” is probably the most quoted lyric in our offices, the Nirvana lyrics are written in to our Diversity and Inclusion policy and they are the essence of it. We want everyone regardless of their gender identity, race, belief system, to come as they are, to bring their whole selves to work because we believe that when you bring your authentic self to work it gives you space to do you do your best work. When you don’t have to cover who you are or code switch or monitor the image you’re portraying, you’re free to be creative, collaborative, and explore new possibilities and ways to so solve problems, you’re open to all possibilities, and since we’re the people who power your possible that can only be a good thing!
We all know tech as an industry is an industry that suffers from a lack of diversity. It is important to engage people from all backgrounds as it creates room for different ideas, from different perspectives which helps to drive the business and serve the needs of our customers better. We’re not immune to this at Ekco which is why we want to?create a work environment that is empowering to women who are in our team and to the women who wish to join us in future.
With this in mind we wanted to do something really impactful and meaningful this International Women’s Day so we have introduced new initiatives that include:
·??????Increasing our paid Maternity Leave from 19 weeks to 21 weeks
·??????Implementing a Family Leave returners programme for those returning to work after a long period away from work, welcoming a new addition to their family

·??????Introducing a new Pregnancy Loss policy which provides paid leave to parents who suffer the loss of a pregnancy
As part of these new initiatives, we’ll also provide training to our managers to support their team members where these policies apply.
