International Women's Day 2022 | Rebecca Moloney

We spoke to Rebecca Moloney, our Sales Manager in Willesden Green, to hear the story of her career in celebration of International Women's Day 2022.

"I joined Foxtons in 2013 with no property experience. Fast forward 9 years and I am managing a successful sales team, married and a mother of two young children.

During my maternity leave in 2016 and again in 2019, I felt incredibly supported and included, meeting with my Director for coffees and breakfasts, as well as continuing to enjoy social nights out with my team. Upon my return, I worked flexibly with reduced hours, spending Fridays at home with my young daughter. Despite not working on Friday, I would always receive an invite to our monthly Friday meeting, should it work for me, and my daughter Florence would always be a VIP on the guest list.

Celebrating my success with my daughter in the room filled me with immense pride.

Six months after returning from the birth of my second child, I received a double promotion taking me from a Sales Negotiator to a Sales Manager. From the outset of my new job role, I felt I was set up to succeed. A female Managing Director has been my mentor over the past few years and I know she is always only a phone call away.

I have continued to receive bespoke training throughout which has given me the confidence and knowledge to enable me to further develop my high performing team. This meant that I finished my first year as Manager by being in the top ten sales teams for revenue at Foxtons. Each time I have a family commitment such as a sports day or school play my Director says, “You must go – these are important things in life.” Happy International Women’s Day!"
