International Women's Day 2022 | Miriame Eshtehardi

Our next story in celebration of International Women's Day is from Miriame Eshtehardi, Operations Director & Sales Manager within our Prime team.

"I started my career as a Negotiator at Foxtons in 2006, almost 16 years ago. I worked my socks off, got a few deals under my belt and became the Sales Valuer before opening a brand new office for Foxtons in 2012.

The launch of my office was hugely successful, being recognised by being promoted to Operations Director before I left for maternity leave with my first baby. I can’t tell you how encouraging it was to know that Foxtons not only wanted me to return after I started my own family, but that they valued my hard work and service to date.

After I had my second baby, I made the difficult decision to delay my return to the office due to my late Father’s illness. It was naturally a very emotional time for my family, but Foxtons provided me with the support and space that I needed at that time, without questioning. When I eventually came back to the office, I was welcomed with open arms by the team and my Area Director, which made the transition so much easier for me.

There have been times where I have been the only woman in the room, but I have always felt empowered by Foxtons and those around me in my career to have the confidence to shine. I feel proud to run a successful team, raising them up to reach their potential. I believe that women should be at the table when decisions are being made so I am proud to be representing successful, working mothers who are often in the minority in the property industry.

Finally, I would also like to give my husband Amir a special mention. As my biggest cheerleader, he continues to support my career as we both balance family life. Wishing you all a very happy International Women’s Day!"
