March 8 International Women’s Day! It is a great opportunity to celebrate and reflect on the contributions and successes of women around the world.
International Women’s Day dates back to the early twentieth century and has been officially recognized by the United Nations since 1975. #ChooseToChallenge is the theme for International Women's Day 2021 which means it's time to honor the women who have chosen to challenge, to lead change, to innovate and inspire, to use the power of their voices to rise above. "A challenged world is an alert world," This day is symbolic of the historic journey women around the world have taken to better their lives. It comes as a reminder that while a lot has been achieved, the journey is long and a lot more needs to be done.
As @Sally Ride said, when you’re getting ready to launch, you’re sitting on a big explosion waiting to happen. Do you ever feel like that? I want us to pause and ask ourselves –
- Are you willing to take that risk?
- How will you change the world?
- What will you challenge?
- How far will you rise?
This collage includes 21 photos of inspirational people. Do you recognize them? From the very first women in space to the first Japanese woman, to the Indian-American woman who helped land Perseverance on Mars – here are change leaders choosing to challenge.
?? by being grateful ????.
?? Have an abundance mindset.
?? Chase experience and growth over titles.
?? Lean into your sister's circle.
?? You alone are enough…but you are not alone.
?? Making new friends & Create new experiences.
?? Step outside your comfort zone.
?? Target for the WIN.
?? Never stop dreaming.
?? Honor yourself.
?? Prioritize yourself
This year, we can all choose to challenge everything that has been holding us back and become better allies.
