Israel’s first wave energy project to launch at Jaffa Port
Eco Wave Power Global AB has announced the launch of Israel’s first wave energy pilot station, set to open on December 5, 2024, at Jaffa Port. TVA signs 10-year PPA with Argo and Brookfield’s Smoky Mountain hydro facilities
The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has entered a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Argo Infrastructure Partners and Brookfield Asset Management. The deal covers hydroelectric power from the Smoky Mountain Hydroelectric facilities, including the Cheoah, Calderwood, Chilhowee, and Santeetlah dams, located in eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina.
LHDA awards Oxbow hydropower scheme design contract
The Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) has awarded the engineering design and construction supervision contract for the Oxbow Hydropower Scheme. This marks the initial phase of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP) Phase II hydropower initiative.
RMA Companies acquires HydroGEOPHYSICS, Inc.
RMA Companies (RMA) has announced its acquisition of HydroGEOPHYSICS, Inc. (HGI), a Tucson-based geophysical consulting firm. The acquisition strengthens RMA’s Subsurface Imaging Division by adding HGI’s advanced geophysical services. Since August 2021, RMA has acquired 14 firms nationwide to build a platform focused on testing, inspection, and infrastructure services.
