Important metrics show International Travel to the US still strong in April of 2017 and grew 4% from April of 2016. This was a key indicator that many were waiting for as the average International visitor will take a trip 56 days after searching for that trip. Which means that we would have seen the impact in April numbers from the January travel ban chaos that ensued.
I have said publicly many times that we have too much "media" versus "journalist" in today's world and it is important to separate what is "political theater" versus "political realities". There are still dangers with getting the right message out to the world that we openly welcome all that want to visit the US.
As a hospitality community it is important for us to have the right information so that we can educate those that we come in contact with.
Wonderful to see this information while IPW takes place in DC and welcomes the world to the US. All good news today.
