International Schools Online Chess League 2022-23

We are pleased to announce the International Schools Online Chess League 2022 Autumn Season will be starting soon. Registrations are now open.

It would be another exciting season. It's the 5th season already!??It has been two years since SCA organized the first International Schools Online Chess League Tournament in the autumn season of 2020. The league has since grown much. In the previous season, almost 200 students from 27 schools participated with our partner school, Wellington College International Shanghai fielding in the most number of players.

All international and bilingual schools are welcome to join. This time each school can field only one team.??Players can join individually or a school team captain can register all the players at once.??All individual registrations will be assigned to the school teams by the organizer. A teacher or a parent may act as the school's team captain.

Three qualifier tournaments will be held during the season and the top 6 school teams after the qualifiers will play in the Final Six. At stake for the top 3 schools of the Final Six are trophies and medals for their best players. A special Cup will be awarded to the school that scores the highest overall in the Qualifiers. We have added a Brilliancy Prize competition as well. The participants are invited to send their best games from the qualifier tournaments by email to join this exciting contest.

Again, Fair Play and Sportsmanship rules will be strictly followed. Games and behaviours will be reviewed to check for any violations during and after each tournament.

School teams' captains can register their students by sending us an email to [email protected], or players could register individually and we would assign them to their school teams automatically via this link.
