International Emergency Medicine Day - Your Safety Our Priority!
Emergency Medicine is a game changer in the healthcare, although it is one of the most valued domains of healthcare in Western countries, in India emergency medicine is just one decade old. Since its inception, the specialty postgraduate program in emergency medicine by the medical council of India in 2013, has produced 500 trained emergency specialists for the country.
Emergency Medicine works with comprehensive hold of pre-hospital resuscitation to in-hospital acute and critical care on one platform. Wherein the Emergency Medicine specialists aim to stop the progression of illness or injury, prevent secondary injury or damage to vital organs thus preserving the quality of life there by reducing disease and disability burden.
When we speak about this year’s theme - Your Safety Our Priority, it is fundamentally consistent with the approach here at Continental Hospitals.
Our Chairman Dr Guru N Reddy Garu constructed a world-class emergency medicine department 10 years back with a vision and selfless commitment to provide the certainty of world-class healthcare to patients of both the states and as well to India constructed a 30 bedded emergency medicine department in years 2012.
