Internal Modification Using Bioluminescent Frits
Internal shade modification using analog processing is time consuming and high risk when it comes to predictability - well that is a problem. The step process I am showing here is out of my hands on course "Managing Illumination and Color". I am using our bioluminescent frits shades to internally characterize the ceramic frame. I use a refraction index medium as my shading liquid medium - this enables me to see the effects prior to firing - the shading effects are "set fired" to lock the frit shading in place . The translucency of the incisal over lay is indicated by the Digital Rx I processed from a smart phone image in the Spectrafire digital shade analysis system. I have included 2 examples of the Digital Shade Analysis Rx with restorations in the mouth. The Spectrafire shade analysis system includes a restoration check feature that verifys your restoration against the patients tooth shade registry.
The bottom left % numbers show the difference between the patients tooth and the restoration. We are experiencing 97% + shade matching with the patient never having to go to the lab or make a special shade appointment. We have eliminated a huge portion of time consuming guess work
