A healthcare office manager is the position in which I plan to hold in the healthcare industry. As an office manager, I will be responsible for the following; observing and evaluating systems, attention to detail on certain results that improve timelines, change, production, transactions as well as other various outcomes. An office manager also can oversee recruiting new employees, conducting training, delegating various projects and assignments.
There are internal and external stakeholders which exists in both industries such as healthcare and business. Stakeholders exists in an enormous environment which has not been taken many components into consideration, which affect the healthcare industry directly and indirectly. Every industry has its separate stakeholders, regardless in size, purpose, nature and foundation. (Chron.com)
External stakeholders are acknowledged as an outside organization consisting of any individual with an impact such as; Customers and clients, Investors and Suppliers, Board of Directors, Managers and Employees, Creditors, Owners etc., which can be affected by an organization’s interests in both healthcare and business environments. External stakeholders are also referred as Secondary Stakeholders. Stakeholders utilize the organizations financial statements to know about profitability, liquidity and performance. However, there is no participation in daily activities in the organization to motivate them. External stakeholders work with the organization externally only. (HealthKnowledge)
Internal stakeholders are people or a group which participates in the management of the organization and are committed to providing quality services to the organization. Internal stakeholders can be influenced and influence by achievement or failure of entity, due to the vested interest in the organization. Decisions and performance are affected a great deal with other activities within the company. The organization would not maintain in the internal stakeholder’s absence. Stakeholders have a major affect on the healthcare organization since all internal affairs and secrets are known by them. A second name for Internal stakeholders are called Primary Stakeholders (Surbhi, S., 2015)
Reviewing strategies to develop relationships between stakeholders is building a long-lasting relationship from fundamentals using clear effective communication which builds trust and commitment in organizations. Understand before being understood by listening and showing respect for others will motivate them to listen and become interested in what you have to say. (Tom Jager, 2017, 2018)
