Internal Drivers of Digital Transformation

?This quote emphasizes that digital transformation starts from within an organization and is driven by its internal culture, values, and beliefs. A company's culture and values can shape the way it approaches innovation and change, and ultimately drive its success in digital transformation.

In the last article we looked at external drivers for digital transformation. In this article let’s focus on internal drivers for digital transformation. Based on my experience I have observed that the following factors are key drivers for digital transformation.

Driver 1: Strategy

Driver 2: Culture

Driver 3: Leadership

Driver 4: Engagement

Driver 5: Operational Excellence

Let’s look at each one of these drivers both from the enterprise as well as from the personal angle.

?1.?Strategy:?Organizations that are looking to improve their competitiveness, create new revenue streams, or streamline their operations choose “Digital First strategy” that aligns their strategic assets and core operations with their key stakeholders and customers.

2.?Culture:?A culture that is more open to change and innovation is more conducive for digital transformation

3.?Leadership:?Strong leadership to guide the organization throughout the process of change to?Digital transformation.

4.Engagement:?Motivated and engaged workforce is one of the greatest assets of digital transformation. They can make or break its success. Toolset no longer matters, mindset matters too.

5.?Operational Excellence: Customer centricity as a focus of digital transformation will fizzle out, unless operational processes also are transformed to increase its efficiency and effectiveness.

Hi Sujatha Sivaraman: liked the article but it's important to track Value and ROI in today's time ... i mean no Organization will opt for Digital transformation in today's time without a potential Value it brings and ROI they may want to target. More than Digital disrupt or die , it more about Sustaining Digital Transformation and meeting the OKRs set for the same. Any guidelines on OKRs set for popular IT Digital transformation based from your experience. T&R, KP
