The wardrobe is composed of storage spaces with different specifications and functions. Customers will buy different layout wardrobes according to different needs. So how do you plan an interior wardrobe layout which is most suitable for you??
?
Wardrobe Partition
Taking the picture as an example, first classify the items in the wardrobe into high and low frequencies, so that the clothes can be stored in a targeted manner during subsequent use.
?
Functional Division
After the classification of the frequency of use is clarified, the next step of wardrobe partitioning can be carried out.
? The out-of-season clothing area is about 40-55cm high;
? The short clothes area is 100-120cm high, and the hem is at least 8cm away from the shelf;
? The long clothes area is 130-170cm high, and a place can be reserved at the bottom to store idle items.
? Pants hanging area is 80-100cm high;
? The drawer area is 16-20cm high, if it is too high, the space utilization rate will be low.
① Upper area
The top layer, which is not easy to reach, can be used as a special storage place for bedding or bags that are not changed frequently. The bag is light, and it will not be strenuous even if it is held at a high position, and there will be less dust at the top position.
② Middle area:
Short jackets, jackets are an essential part of everyday collocation, so they must occupy the most convenient and easy-to-see place in the wardrobe. Arranged according to the shade of color, it is convenient to quickly find the clothes you want to wear.
③ Side position:

Skirts and long windbreakers, because the lengths are different, long clothes must not be hung in the same area as short ones, but stored separately on the side.
④ Below the wardrobe:
Pants storage, install a wardrobe insert that can be pulled out, and the trousers can be neatly stored in the wardrobe. Although the pants are at the bottom of the wardrobe, they can be easily selected with pulling out the accessory.
⑤ Drawer:
Different types of things can be placed in the drawers, such as sunglasses, watches, hats and other accessories in the upper layer, underwear in the middle drawer, and socks in the bottom drawer.
Wardrobe Light
The right lighting can dramatically impact the overall functionality of a space. A thoughtful lighting design combines additional useful illumination with the luxurious boutique effect that highlights favorite collections like bags or shoes as showpieces.
When the weather is bad or at night, since there are no light strips or sensor lights in the wardrobe, the light source in the wardrobe is likely to be insufficient, and it is a bit difficult to find clothes, so you can ask the designer to join when customizing.
Wardrobe Balance
A standard rule-of-thumb guide for planning is to allow about 10 percent of space for shoes, 10 percent for shelves, 15 percent for drawers. The rest of the wardrobe starts with 40 percent hanging space for short items, and 25 percent for long.
Start with these ratios and then tweak them depending on whether you have lots of tops and t-shirts, more shoes than average or more long hanging items like dresses or coats. Some people prefer to fold things like jeans, not hang them, while others like to hang t-shirts instead of fold them. You know what you prefer, so design your wardrobe components accordingly.
Shelves vs Drawers
The storage utilization rate of the shelves is relatively low, because the clothes inside are difficult to access. But the advantage of the shelves is to save materials. If it is used as a shelf, the height can be larger, and it can be used in combination with plastic drawers later.
The utilization rate of the drawers is higher than that of the shelves, and the items placed inside are also easy to access, but it is not suitable for setting above the waist.
If the demand for clothes storage at home changes in the future, you can set up shelves with holes, and then adjust the height or add wardrobe accessories according to your needs.
