Interior design is like a Zoo

"In the world of interior design, every client is like a tube of paint; some are bright and bold, others are complex and deep, but all are necessary to create a masterpiece. Remember, it takes both light and dark colours to finish a painting." - Revathi Gurram, Founder, Stories Design Studio
Interior design is like a zoo, where every client is a different animal with their own funny habits and peculiar tastes. Imagine trying to design a living room for a giraffe who loves low-hanging chandeliers or a bedroom for a monkey who wants a swing instead of a bed. Each project throws us into a jungle of creativity, forcing us to swing from the vines of innovation and dive into the rivers of adaptability.

We face challenges like trying to convince a bear that minimalist style doesn't include a cave-like aesthetic or explaining to a peacock that sometimes less is more, even when it comes to glitter and feathers. It's a rollercoaster of colours, textures, and emotions, where one day you're designing a sleek, modern kitchen for a turtle who loves to cook slow and steady, and the next, you're creating a zen garden for a rabbit who meditates, can you imagine!
?
But in the end, after all the chaos, the laughs, and the occasional design dilemma, we step back and look at the spaces we've transformed together. It's at that moment we realize that the wild ride was worth every second. Plus, you haven't lived until you've seen a kangaroo's reaction to its new hop-friendly living space. Interior design: where the wild and the beautiful meet, and sometimes, you just have to laugh at the madness of it all.
