Interfering With Abundance

David Meltzer was a recent guest on TIG Talks. Although the conversation was brief, the wisdom shared was wise and deep. One of the things we covered was the “abundance mindset.” I’ve written and spoken often of its antithesis, the scarcity mindset, maybe because the latter has been present more than the former.
The abundance mindset serves us all better. Rather than wondering why we aren’t getting something or worrying about what we do have vanishing, those with an abundance mindset believe they have access to everything they need. It is not a matter of it being available. It’s simply identifying and eliminating what’s interfering with that access.
That is a bold shift in outlook and perspective. Not one that comes to me naturally, but one I plan to do my best to cultivate. So, how do I go about cultivating this mindset?
I am going to start with gratitude. Taking time every day to be thankful for what I have. As entrepreneurs, we tend to focus on what we need to do next or what isn’t working. How about starting with a bit of thanks for all we do have and all the amassing experiences?
Next, a bit of role-playing. My mind tends to go to why something won’t work. So, I will force myself to identify one reason why it will work for every reason I list why it won’t.
I am going to keep tossing out those karmic boomerangs. Put enough goodwill out there, and there is sure to be some swirling around you when you need it most. No reciprocity is expected, but in my experience, good begets good. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it is also a good thing to do if you catch my drift.
Waven is the key energy reader of TIG. He’s taught me the importance of the energetic connection made between people. The abundance mindset is dependent on being surrounded by those who share the same vision. So I plan to make it a priority to engage those who wish to see things that way.
I know I will be visited by my scarcity nemesis. It won’t vanish overnight, and potentially, it may never disappear. However, if I remain focused on the above strategies, I can spend more of my time in the abundance mindset. If I do that, I will be working on overcoming the real things that interfere with my having access to abundance rather than having it limited by my own internal narrative.
I know all of this sounds a bit woo-woo. Yet, I am sure it is real. We already have all that we require. We only need to identify and eliminate what is interfering with our access. That is the abundance mindset, and it is what will propel us forward, help us weather the storm, and succeed in the long run.

3 年Agree! This is such a helpful mindset to have. It opens you up to so many possibilities. I remind myself often that what I need always comes, and that every path can be the right path as long as I keep moving forward. Thanks for sharing!

I love this. Makes me think of Commitment #12 in the 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership: “I commit to experiencing that I have enough of everything... including time, money, love, energy, space, resources, etc.” https://conscious.is/15-commitments
