I saw an interesting report this morning. Apparently, Webroot did a survey across 75 Australian IT Security Managers.
I quote their results: Most are extremely or very concerned about the rapid growth of advanced threats. In fact, 82% had experienced a security breach in the past year alone! That is about 62 out of the 75!
Welcome to the new world of Cyber Security.
In a recent article in CRN, Bogdan Botezatu, a senior e-threat analyst of Bitdefender, believes that for most organisations it is a question of when not if an intrusion occurs.
I find the new world and evolution of Cyber Security incredibly fascinating. Hence, I want to personally make it my mission to help match the best Security talent to the most exciting work there is for them, that will help them really make the biggest impact and difference to the current world. It is so much more than just protection of data or systems these days. It is about what these data represents and the lives behind it.

As Leigh Chase, Competency Leader for Security Intelligence, IBM Security UK & Ireland shared in an interview with Finextra (in relation to one of the biggest change in the world of Cyber Security and the awareness of it), " we are now in a need to share culture."
Have a great weekend ahead!
