Interesting Developments in the Dutch IT Hiring Landscape
An interesting trend in the Dutch IT sector: both the number of software developers ’open to work’ and amount of job openings in this field are on the rise.
Interestingly, while job opportunities are increasing, there has been minimal change in the willingness of software developers to relocate to the Netherlands. This might reflect that employers are now focusing their recruitment efforts within the local market.
However, for companies aiming to enhance gender diversity within their development teams, exploring international talent remains crucial. In the Netherlands, only 13% of software developers are female according to LinkedIn Data. Of the software developers residing abroad who express readiness to relocate to the Netherlands, 18% are female.

8 个月Thanks for sharing. December and January are usually slow months for both job seekers and for hiring pipelines, so I'm curious what part of the natural seasonality can help explain the data. By any chance, do you know how this chart compares to the December to February period for the past 1-2 years?

9 个月It's a shame that a lot of companies are going back to hiring locally and pushing for more frequent onsite working. Agree that remote has its challenges that need attention and deliberate actions but it's also the future.
Fascinating to see the dynamics of the Dutch IT job market—this could signal a robust period for tech growth and innovation in the Netherlands.
