The economy has been awash in easy money: low short-term and long-term interest rates; unprecedented quantitative easing, and fiscal policy; among other Keynesian experimental backstops. History can be a useful guide because it tells us where we think we have been before. The following table compares the interest rates spreads pre-pandemic and now. I've added hyperlinks to each series for your insight.
