So I am interested to hear your comments on how you feel about the whole Apple / FBI saga that is filling most of our social media feeds.
The Security side of me agrees with what Apple are doing and the whole thought process behind the need for encryption and not introducing back doors that don't currently exist. Basically "Business Kris" thinks Apple is taking the right stance to take to protect their customers.
However "Everyday Kris" is thinking that he has nothing to hide and this could save innocent peoples life's and so morally I feel its wrong to stand in its way.....
Part of me wonders whether there is also a difference depending on where you were raised, where you live and what you do. It is quite a British / European thought process to trust the authorities to handle things appropriately with the view that they will do the right thing, even to the point of giving up some of our privacy rights for this. Having lived in the US for quite some time now though that's not the general feeling I get here.
Let me know your thoughts and if you want to fill in a 4 question survey I just put together please go ahead - no contact information needed!
Good for Apple. We need advocates for privacy.

8 年FBI should start giving out credit cards or auto leases or home financing OR may be use their gear heads to write a search engine. This way the consumers will give them information about themselves, their family members, their friends, their neighbors, their neighbor's dogs, and anything with a name on it with no questions asked.

8 年I agree With you Mr Kris, on both opinions. but what i think is that even if Apple agrees to corroborate with the Feds, they'd be facing a bigger problem, which is.. dumping one principle : "Privacy". Costumers have secrets, and what makes it worse is that it could be used by the wrong hands.
