Interested in half price Asbestos training?
Thanks to CITB and their Sector Specific Training Plan, organisations who are registered with CITB can claim enhanced grants for specialist Asbestos training delivered by ACAD – the mainstream organisation leading the Asbestos sector.
ACAD training is the only Licensed Asbestos training recognised by CITB – the standard setting body for the sector – that qualifies for this enhancement for the second year running throughout the UK. ACAD leads the list of specialist associations and federations recognised by CITB in this way.
CITB are incentivising grant support for specialist training as part of their overall objective to encourage quality training. So instead of the basic £50/day ACAD training now attracts a 50% enhancement taking the total to £75/person/day – halving the cost of quality ACAD training.
The focus for this phase of the SSTP will be working with specialist employers in the Small to Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs - below 250 employees) category. An employer must not be either directly paying the Apprenticeship Levy to the UK Government or be part of a Connected Company Group that is paying the Apprenticeship Levy. As in previous years an employer’s Levy status needs to be confirmed in order to join the programme.
Yet again the full spectrum of ACAD's quality asbestos training is available for the enhanced grant funding including:
- Asbestos Awareness
- Asbestos Non-Licensed (New and TNA based refresher)
- Asbestos Operative (New and TNA based refresher)
- Asbestos Supervisor (New and TNA based refresher)
- Asbestos Manager (New and TNA based refresher)
- Licensed Scaffold Activities (New and TNA based refresher)
