Munich Re is looking for a IT Risk Consultant who is a Process Specialist. In the role, you could provide expertise and leadership on the core processes, metrics and measurements used across the IT Risk and Security (ITRS) team so they can identify, manage and track information and cyber security risk. As part of the first-line-of-defense information security team, you’ll work with Munich Re teams in North America, EMEA and Asia.

You’ll be a key participant in enterprise projects coming from the second-line of defense seeking to further automate, globalize and standardize risk-management and risk-assessment processes and orchestration. You’ll be or will become an expert in Governance Risk and Control systems (GRC tools like Compliance Web, RSA Archer, etc.). You’ll forge strong working relationships with other risk teams like Integrated Risk Management (second line), the Data Protection Office, IT Compliance and Business Information Security Officers. You’ll work to ensure Munich Re’s use of GRC tools meets their promise of a holistic view of information and cyber risk

You’ll streamline ITRS’s throughput in our risk identification and management process (Compliance Gate) acting as a subject matter expert and advocate of the process within ITRS. Compliance Gate supports the launching of new technology and applications, the onboarding new third-party partners, and the assessing changes to our environments. You’ll identify and expedite requests when business opportunities require accelerated assurance to safely deliver cutting edge technology and innovation.

You’ll help devise and supply measurements (Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators – KPIs and KRIs) that will allow leaders and executives to understand their information and cyber risk and keep them within their risk appetites. You’ll assist colleagues in ITRS’s testing and consulting teams to launch and fully integrate their core tools and processes.
