In my journey as a change maker, I resolved to ‘’leave no problem behind’’. In the words of former US President Barack Obama, ‘’you can only be the change you want’’. As a citizen of a globalized and complex world, you have to be proactive, take charge and change the way you think about your life, your community and your career. When you take control, you will realize that the only way you can achieve what you want, personally or professionally and for the interest of the community, is to passionately think about where you want to go, put in place a plan to get there, and then start moving. In your path, be ready to be very flexible. Explore all options, challenge existing stereotypes and think out of the box. In the next edition, I will begin to take you through my journey using an autobiographical illustration. This should inspire your interdisciplinary acumen.
