Interactive session between His Excellency Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister of India with the Mauritius Business Community

The Interactive session between His Excellency Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister of India with the Mauritius Business Community has been organised by the High Commission of India in collaboration with the Economic Development Board on 23rd February 2021 on new promising opportunities that have opened up with the signing of the CECPA.

In his address, The Minister of External Affairs of India, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar underlined the importance of Mauritius in India's foreign policy. He emphasized that Mauritius fits in India's 3-pronged policy, namely Neighborhood First, Sagar and Forward Africa Policy.

The Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Development, Dr. The Hon. Renganaden Padayachy invited Indian companies in exploring opportunities in Mauritius and becoming an integral part of the country’s economic development. He also appealed to key Mauritian business leaders from various sectors to take full advantage of the opportunities that CECPA offers to expand their activities.
