Interaction Next Paint(INP) to Add in Core Web Vitals
Google will replace FID(First Input Delay) metric with INP metric on March 12,2024 as part of core web vitals. When it start showing INP Google search console stop showing FID.
What is INP good Score:
Using PageSpeed Insights, which presents information from the Chrome User Experience Report (CrUX), is the simplest approach to see how your website is performing on INP. The Web Vitals program's official dataset, CrUX, can be a good place to look for field data for your website.
Websites should aim for an Interaction to Next Paint of 200 milliseconds or less in order to offer a satisfactory user experience. A useful criteria to check if you're meeting this goal for the majority of your consumers is the 75th percentile of page loads, broken down by desktop and mobile devices.
Why Google does this change:
FID that just measures the first delay from the time an interaction occurs till the website processes it. It's important to keep in mind that not every website contact will result in the same score as INP, which measures all of these delays, comes next.
It's time to get ready, make sure you're competitively advantaged, and possibly beat? the competitors.
