Intentionality with Desired Outcome

Intentionality with Desired Outcome

Today I want to talk a little about the meaning in your life. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of books on finding the meaning in one's life. Some people spend their entire life searching for the meaning. They might travel the world searching or even spend hours in deep thought contemplating the meaning of life. And others are always chasing the meaning of life, like it is something just out out of their reach.

I believe each of us have the power inside of us to CREATE our own meaning in life. First, we must BE the person we want to be, then we DO the action(s), which allow us to HAVE the things we want in our life. The people in life who are empowered to take control and CREATE what they want are often the one's who make incredible transformations and are also the most successful.

One way to CREATE the life you want is to set daily intentions. You see you have a part of your brain called the Reticular Activating System (RAS). This part of the brain can make your conscious and unconscious mind congruent. The key is to become really clear on the ideal outcome of what you want. Not just the action you are going to take, but the ideal end result you want to experience. Most people go through life "hoping" something happens, but when asked what they want, they stare at you like a dear in the headlight. Others know what they want, but fail to take massive action to accomplish their desired outcome.

So as you start the day today, I challenge you to set a clear daily intention of the most ideal outcome(s). This can really be a powerful experience when you apply intentionality with desired outcome.

Nice post! It is about gaining clarity on what you want to make happen...and then taking action! A few years ago when I attended a training session that was led by the CEO of our $6.3B company he said, "We are looking for Laborers, Craftsmen & Artists. You decide which you'll be by the level that you'll perform and it will result in the rewards you'll reap." Your post reminds me of becoming an Artist.

Asking what is the meaning of life IS the wrong question! What do I want my life to mean is the right question. Exactly !!! Much easier when you have defined your life purpose with a written mission statement, however, many find that a difficult project. At least that has been my experience coaching quite a few through the process.
