When was the last time you moved your body intentionally?
When I started this newsletter it was supposed to be filled with journal prompts ushering creatives to dive deeper, think clearer, and be more intentional with themselves, thus making them better creatives.
Spoiler alert: that is still the case!
Last week I shared about my journey to Isle Mujeres and my completion of my 200hr yoga teacher training, and how it has already aided me in so many ways.
During my process I woke up and journaled every morning to reflect on the previous day, checking in with how I was feeling and writing down what intentions I wanted to set for the day.

Why would I say "intention set" vs. "creating goals"?
I think we sometimes easily get obsessed with achieving goals and then are hard on ourselves when we don't meet them on our time. If I was setting goals before I even got to class, I'd be setting myself up for failure especially when the day could unfold in any way.
Setting the intention allowed me to be grounded in how I wanted to show up for the day no matter what I would be met with. This is something I also do when I have a day of meetings, a shoot day, or am working on a project. I can't always control how I want the day to go, but I am in charge of myself. What are some intention examples? Being open, flexible, kind, communicating to the best of my ability, or even being a great listener.
These principles that are taught in yoga, where yogis practice on the mat to show up off the mat in life to their best ability, can be adapted in any environment -- work, home, school, in public, in private, and beyond.
So the journal prompt I'd offer you is, more of a challenge. Before beginning your day, write down how you're feeling in the moment, and set 3 intentions for the day. Do this for 5 days.
And let me know what is created from that.
