Intentional Thinking

John Maxwell wrote a book called “Today Matters,” in which he lays out his daily dozen, which are his priorities for the day. They include attitude, priorities, health, family, THINKING, commitment, finances, faith, relationships, generosity, values, and growth.
A priority of John’s that really stands out to me is THINKING.?I have heard it said that ninety-five percent of people don’t think, three percent think they think, and only two percent actually think.?
I find that sad, don’t you? Since we are the only created beings that can think and reason, thinking is a privilege we don't want to waste! Thinking helps us process information coming into our brains so we can overcome challenges and obstacles. Thinking helps us define and organize experiences, plan, learn, create, and reflect. It can also motivate us to action.
Note that not all thinking is created equal. The wrong kind of thinking can demotivate and discourage, lead us to wrong conclusions, and hurt us and others. So, I recommend thinking as the Good Book says, on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. Be creative in your thinking! BE INTENTIONAL IN YOUR THINKING!?
As I write this, I just finished thinking and praying about the day. I’m so thankful that I can take some time to reflect and prepare before the day gets into full swing. I wish I could say it’s always been that way, but in reality, I used to be a person who rushed and hurried my way through my days. Not that my schedule doesn’t still get crazy, but I have found the benefits of slowing down a bit and taking regular time for THINKING.
Do you take time to think? Are you looking for tools to empower and equip you for more INTENTIONAL THINKING? I'd love to help!
BE INTENTIONAL!

1 周I like how you emphasized the term 'thinking.' Your words brought to mind the concept of being 'transformed by the renewing of your mind' (emphasis on the 'mind'). Another relevant post!
