Designing with Purpose

I am presenting a workshop tomorrow for 10 educators on programming with goals in mind. To best support my theory and implementation of Responsive curriculum, I use tools such as the EDI and the Early Learning Framework to guide the team with the need of a change in how they plan. This community has a very high vulnerable rate with Communication and general knowledge of the world - 30% of children. Tomorrow I will focus on the importance of self - esteem and identity, allowing the children to have a voice and to be represented in a way that they are ensured to have a sense of belonging and community.

I have 2 hours to introduce, plan and guide so I sent them a sheet to fill out with the children's interest and goals. The goals should reflect around communication, and social and emotional development.

I began Empowermil 17 years ago with very little research around the theory of Social emotional brain development and it's overall impact on the child's brain development, future, community and world.
