Intentional Planning?

Sometimes we can plan all week long, and all year long. Sometimes the plan works. Sometimes the plan does not work. What I have learned is if we run enough scenarios, we can limit our stress with the reality that is coming our way.
I saw this first hand with one client. They created space to plan, think and gain clarity. So when things go array, decisions were easier to make. There was less stress.?
You know I like practical ideas. Intentional planning feels like a practical idea. For me, practical ideas are easier for me to try.
My question today is what kind of planning do you proactively schedule today? Is it a weekly plan? Is it an annual plan? What if we take 1 hour a week and plan? Could compounding 1 hour over time really reduce the amount of stress in our lives?
Thanks for letting me share,
Catherine aka Katie
PS--Do not confuse proper planning with analysis paralysis. Big difference.

3 个月Absolutely concur with your comments on intentional short, mid and long term planning. For me it must be linked with scheduling your goals, priorities and time allocation. Having spend a career in agriculture plant genetics, seed business, the seasonal nature of the buisness forced intentional planning and contingency planning. Fortunately I had an amazing Team that also understood the importance of intentional focus forward planning.
