Intentional Networking Makes Business Sense

It’s nearly the end of January -- how did we get here so quickly?
I recently read a great book called The Good Life that talks about the importance of relationships in all parts of our lives. All successful businesses are based on solid relationships. If you want to get the word out about your company or investments, networking is really important.
Unlike the old days, when I would try to go to every event and every function, I’m selective about how I spend my time and who I spend it with - I call it intentional networking (i.e., networking with a purpose).??
One of my highlights of the month was attending the annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco. In addition to having fun on the streets, there were some inspiring presentations and insights, and I got to share Palmetto’s journey with investors and colleagues from across the country (with more than 8,000 investors attending).
I believe our story is pretty special, and by sharing our journey of restoring hope and health, we can play an important role in spreading our why – healthcare is not about services or products but about “CARE.”?While expanding nationally is a big dream for all of us at Palmetto Infusion, we are keeping the focus on excellent customer service, and that’s not going to change any time soon.?
Not surprisingly, the two main topics of the conference were how obesity drugs are a game-changer and how AI will affect our industry (both pros and cons).
On the investment side of things, everyone was pretty upbeat about the potential of the healthcare industry. Investors I spoke to were also interested in hearing about how business is thriving in South Carolina, my views on investing locally, and, of course, how and why Palmetto continues to be a leader in infusion therapy.?

Michael Gaito , J.P. Morgan's Global Head of Healthcare Investment Banking, had a few key insights for the industry. He suggested that we move forward with “cautious optimism” and said that with lower interest rates and a more stable market, private equity in the healthcare sector is ready for resurgence. Palmetto Infusion is here for it all!
Relationships Are the Best Possible Investment
It was great to catch up with old friends and colleagues and network with potential investors, and I think our industry is set up for great things in 2024 if we are “cautiously optimistic” and continue to serve our customers’ needs first.?
Being intentional about networking and having specific goals makes good business sense. If you are looking for investment, network at relevant events and find ways to connect with the right people at the right time. As the authors of The Good Life point out, investing in relationships is the best possible investment you can make.?
Until next time,
