Intentional Design: RP Home’s Foundation
Here at RP Homes, we believe that intentional design is one of the most important aspects of home building. What exactly is intentional design? Good question! Let’s hear what Sarah Moseley, Director of Product and Design at RP Homes has to say about the importance of intentional design.
“To me, intentional design means designing homes with the end user in mind,” said Moseley. “At RP, we aspire to offer a portfolio of floor plans that appeal to Chattanooga’s diverse homebuyer population - people at all stages of life, family, and outlook. When designing, I try to put myself in the shoes of a potential homebuyer and ask what might light them up when buying and customizing a home - from spaces to gather or quietly work to a lovely color and material palette. At a larger scale, we take the same approach to the design of our neighborhoods - imbuing homes with meaning within the context of their community.” From the entire neighborhood layout to the kitchen layout, each detail is included with the buyer in mind.?
Moseley perfectly described the mission of RP Homes: to set the standard for happy living by turning houses into homes. With deliberate decisions, the design team at RP Homes is designing beautiful spaces with high functionality. A combo that sounds almost impossible. From the entire neighborhood layout to the kitchen layout, each detail is included with the buyer in mind.?

It can be tempting to overlook the finer details in search of the big picture but at RP Homes the small details are what make a cohesive project. “Truly, when it comes to architecture and design, a successful home is created by the sum of its parts working seamlessly together,” said Moseley. “Each small detail from the door trim and the electrical plan, to the paint and the cabinet hardware works together to create a purposeful story for each home.”
And a seamless, purposeful home is what you will receive at RP Homes. Through the livability of our floorplans and our consistent research every RP Homes community is built with the homeowner in mind. That is why we work with home buyers to add touches of their personality to their homes.?
“Inviting our home buyers to inform the details of their project with customization and color options brings an important layer of intention to the homeowner’s experience of living in their homes,” said Moseley. “It is my hope that when an RP client walks into their home’s kitchen styled with personally selected cabinets, countertops, flooring, lighting, paint, and plan details that they feel a deep connection to the space, a sense of well-being and home.”
