Happy New Year, LinkedIn community! Like many of you, I’m excited to start a new year full of possibilities. In the past, I would make 'New Year’s resolutions' every year, only to forget about them a few weeks later. I’m sure this might resonate with some of you.
One of my favorite quotes is, 'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.' So, on day one of this beautiful new year, I’m choosing to do things a little differently.
I want to set intentions. This is the practice of identifying your values and aspirations, and consciously choosing to live in alignment with them. Unlike specific goals (like New Year's resolutions), intentions are broader and more flexible, allowing you to stay focused on what truly matters to you. They serve as guiding principles that you can revisit and reflect on regularly, without guilt for not always achieving them, because they represent a bigger picture of personal growth and well-being.
?To make myself accountable, I thought I would share my intentions here on this very public forum. Here they are.
?2024 was a year of significant personal and professional growth, and I’m committed to continuing this journey. I’m curious—have you considered setting positive intentions for the year ahead? What does that look like for you?

1 个月I set intentions over goals and then track habits. Currently I'm using the 12-week-a-year approach. So rather than losing momentum, I have 12 weeks to track habits leading to reaching my intentions. Yay!
