The Intelligent trained model -ChatGPT

As the revolutionary Chatbot becoming a global craze, the question it raises is how much technology is too much

A few days back, when I started reading about the ChatGPT, I thought we were looking at a game changer artificial intelligence-powered bot, and I had to get my hands on it to test this theory.

?I learned this from my initial discovery of this innovative language tool.

• ChatGPT, or the Generative Pretrained transformer, as they say, is an extensive language model developed by researchers at OpenAI and supported by Microsoft. The model was first introduced by Google researchers in 2017.
• It's an intelligent platform trained on a dataset of over 40 terabytes of text data from various web sources, including books, articles, and existing web pages, which are pre-processed and filtered to remove low-quality text and duplicates. So one thing is clear we are still looking at existing data that is readily available through different online platforms but is presented well through one innovative tool.
• Using the deep learning model called a transformer, the Chatbot is believed to be trained on a massive text dataset using an unsupervised learning technique.
• The AI-powered bot can improve over time; as more data integrates into the bot, it fine-tunes itself and generates improved text.

So excited to use the tool, I asked the AI-powered Chatbot to assist me in writing a resignation letter. So there I had the bombastically worded letter with a suggestion at the end that this can be tailored to your needs. I started thinking the possibility was endless and added another simple query to the Chatbot to share the weather forecast in my current location. And that is where I hit the first limitation:

"I am sorry, but I am not able to predict weather conditions as my knowledge cut off is 2021 and my current date is January 2022. But you can check weather forecast from reliable sources for accurate information.

Note: Grammarly app check tells me that the above lines are grammatically too long and can be shortened.?

So my focus turned towards the limitation of this trained model and started a more in-depth conversation with my bot from composing a poem for a two-year-old child, discussing news, sports, financial analysis, English, science assignments, analysing characters of novels, language translation, assisting in shopping, food preferences, exercise regime, healthcare issues etc., and the results were mind-boggling.

• As a result, using the ChatGPT to generate human-like text by students has divided teachers across the globe. At the same time, there is a debate that this can hinder the student's learning ability, but it can also open new avenues while reducing mundane tasks.?
• In medicine, it can be more dangerous, even fatal, to trust AI to find the curve for a health issue. Even though the trained model gives generic answers
• Another thing to be cautious of is the Chatbot is exceptionally confident in giving incorrect answers to a question or query supported with an explanation.
• Its ability to self-learn and improvise has also been a matter of speculation. The increased use of chatbots could lead to job displacements and can spread misinformation along with concerns over privacy and safety.

As I share my experience, this recent announcement by Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella has sparked the interest of businesses, professionals as well as academicians in this language model with the capability of potential applications, including virtual assistant to language translation and content generation and sharing valuable feedback to train this learning model.

While OpenAI is yet to launch as a ChatGPT app (both Android and Apple iOS platforms) due to its high demand, it has led to suspicious apps launched on the Apple store and Android Play store.

As more and more integration takes place, this technology can make our lives more comfortable.
