This demo highlights several use cases, each showcasing interaction with vehicle - whether to control functions, consume information, or generate understanding. It also illustrates how access to extensive data streams can unlock new insights, ultimately enhancing experiences and services.
The road type classification AI use case demonstrates how collected data can be used to classify different road types, where one possible usage is to allow the vehicle to adjust its suspension for improved ride handling, enhanced user experience, and greater efficiency. The model's results could also be integrated into a collaborative intelligent transport system, where annotated maps generate situational information to support decision-making.
This, in turn, could help road users and public transport operators plan their journey alongside ADAS systems. Manually carrying out a similar task can be time-consuming and error-prone. Traditional ML algorithms would require fine-tuning and hand-crafted features - AI models bring advantages in both areas.? The architecture and platform we propose can facilitate deployment of further AI models and even AI-assisted virtual sensors, which can reduce BOM cost or create synthesized quantities. The collected data could, in principle, also be used in the future to train or fine-tune AI models.
For the AI models deployment, NXP eIQ auto software development environment can be employed for all AI models.
