I want to express my gratitude to Pascal BORNET , Ian Barkin , and Jochen Wirtz for this book, which is very well-written and easy to follow. It begins by defining Intelligent Automation as the concept of utilizing new "soft" technology to automate business processes, mirroring the capabilities of knowledge workers.
While the authors differentiate this from the well-known AI, I find the knowledge in this book perfectly applicable to AI as well. The book is divided into four parts. The first and second discuss the importance of IA and its technology exploration. The third, in my opinion, is the core, focusing on "How organizations succeed in implementing IA." It is comprehensive, covering various aspects such as use-case definition, business alignments, management support, data, technology cost, and talent development. The fourth part is somewhat futuristic, targeting "reinventing society with IA."
It's worth noting that the book is supplemented with over 500 use-cases, spanning the financial sector, HR, IT, healthcare, and more, providing readers with potential IA (or AI) use cases. The book is very insightful, especially part 3, which I've read twice and plan to skim through again.
Knowing that Pascal BORNET and his team are very active in this domain, I hope the newer versions shed more light on LLM and AR/VR technologies. ?Despite the easy language of the book, it is still dense with information, so introducing a checklist section, in addition to the "takeaways" section, would be beneficial. I also have a light request to revisit table 4.2, reflecting KSA's great progress during the 2030 vision.

Since this book is targeting "automation," I would like to conclude with a question raised in the book's conclusion: "Would IA be able to run companies autonomously?" … What are your thoughts?
