“Intelligence of values”

“Intelligence of values”

For a long time I have written articles promoting science and technology being a great passionate about it, from an early age. However, as our civilizations continue to “climb” in technology at breakneck speed they also lose their human values and principles in an accelerated way or they become distorted and this, apart from not being good, is highly dangerous given that if the gap between these two continues to increase (the technological escalation vs. the decrease of the principles and values), would accelerate the collapse of civilization.

At this time I will not write about artificial intelligence from the point of view of machine intelligence, but from the human point of view, a science that I master at an expert doctoral level, in which I would erase the artificial word and leave only the name of intelligence, quality that should emerge in every human being to use it for service and for the good of humanity.

I am going to focus in this article on something very important that our “advanced” civilizations must push to stay balanced at all times and this is the intelligence of values. As we know within multiple intelligences?[1] we can find the linguistic, logical mathematical, spatial or visual, musical, corporal kinesthetic, intrapersonal, interpersonal, naturalistic intelligence and the possible ninth intelligence, the existential intelligence.

The theory of multiple intelligences is a model of conception of the mind proposed in 1983 by Howard Gardner, a professor at Harvard University. For him, intelligence is not a unitary set that groups different specific capacities, but a network of autonomous, relatively interrelated sets. [2]

As I have always said all my life, values are not negotiable. They constitute the fundamental basis of a society where people strive to be better and ensure the harmonious coexistence of the human species. Technology is a material value, a human creation that must serve the welfare of society.

Technological development, despite the current global problems, is not intended to end the existence of society, on the contrary it should strengthen it and provide opportunities for advancement. AI Artificial Intelligence is part of computing and deals with the design and creation of machines capable of intelligent behaviors, even limiting the functioning of the human mind.

It can be defined as a science of the artificial and as a set of computational technologies that are interested in how adaptation to environment, representation and reasoning manifests itself, in various living species (humans, invertebrates, etc.) and they apply it or they imitate it (they make a mimic) of its adaptation, its representation and its reasoning in artificial machines.

“If the goal is to reach a machine that is so similar to the functioning of the human mind, where would be the integrity of man, moral, values etc ?”
