Bard having a conversation with ChatGPT

So today I saw someone compare output from chatGPT with that from Bard. Having seen that , I just wondered if both this AI Language Models can in a way have a character based on how they have been built and how much they have learnt. I therefore decide to be the intermediary

So I started with bard, asking whether it would want to have a conversation with ChatGPT

ChatGPT introduced itself and poured a lot of info immediately after and in a very structured way. You can tell this from each paragraph

Having received the information, bard got excited and attempted to respond in a similar structure. It is quite interesting though to see how bard used the believe and think annotations to express information that it has already learnt

ChatGPT went on to respond in the same structure being acknowledgement, agreement, opinion, suggestion and approval or something like that

Bard then attempted to shorten the conversation as if to signal a conclusion

For some reason, Chat GPT didn't get it. It went on and on

So in the same spirit, Bard shied off saying too much

ChatGPT decided that it still had more information to share. It sounds quite repetitive though

That's when the mediator "myself" gave up. The initial purpose of my mediation was to test the ability of each Language model in first keeping an objective conversation even if they are products of two rival tech giants as well as testing if they had the ability to understand each other as Language models and not humans. It was pretty exciting to see this conversation. I came out of it feeling like each model has its own character and will continue to have a character that is related to the core purpose of each model. Have fun reading.
