Intel@CES 2021 – A view to the future

As one of the most influential tech events in the world, CES is a remarkable platform to showcase revolutionary technologies and global innovations. This year, CES was hosted virtually for the first time – becoming the largest digital tech event with almost 2000 participating companies.

Setting the tone for the new year with influential insights and inspirational innovations, Intel showcased a wide range of products that address the new needs and challenges of a rapidly evolving world. From the latest compute technologies to autonomous driving and Artificial Intelligence, Intel demonstrated how they can be used to spark creative innovation and encouraged people to ‘Go and Do Something Wonderful’.

New Processors for Business, Gaming and Education

We introduced four new lines of processors designed for a variety of platforms and users, such as business, education and gaming.

We launched the 11th Gen Intel Core vPro platform that delivers unrivaled performance and the world’s most comprehensive hardware security. Taking it a notch higher, we brought out the Intel Evo vPro platform that combines the thin and light form factor of Evo with vPro’s capabilities. Laptop designs verified on the Intel Evo vPro platform are stylish and sleek and offer an amazing immersive visual experience. With remarkable responsiveness and real-world battery life, more than 60 new laptops from top manufacturers will hit the market later this year.

 A Look Ahead

Apart from education, business and gaming, we also previewed the 11th Gen Intel Core S-series desktop processors (“Rocket Lake-S”) that will bring enhanced performance for gamers as they debut in Q1 2021. Additionally, the next generation ‘Alder Lake’ scheduled for the second half of the year represents a significant breakthrough in x86 architecture and our most power-scalable system-on-chip.

Going forward in 2021, Intel plans to introduce more than 50 processors for a variety of users, which will result in 500 new laptops and desktop designs hitting the market. Our aim is to drive technology leadership that defines the future of computing and offers a premium PC experience for people, businesses and society.

Demand for seamless PC experiences is on the rise with remote working and online education taking center-stage last year. The global PC market surged by double digits in the third quarter, recording the highest growth it has seen in a decade. 2021 is going to be an exciting year as we try to meet growing demands and make technology a force for good in challenging times. Banking on decades of platform experience, brand trust and reliability, our new product portfolio is a big step towards improving the PC experience. The all-virtual CES was instrumental for Intel and our partners, as we showcased how we will transform the way we work, play, and move through the world – encouraging everyone to do something wonderful.
